Pokhara,the most popular tourist destination after Kathmandu is Pokhara. It is a valley in central Nepal about 200km west of Kathmandu lies beneath the Annapurna range of the western Himalayas. At this point the stream overflowing Fewa Lake suddenly collapses and suges down the rock into a deep gorge leading through several potholes before taking a final long plunge. TIBETAN REFUGEE CAMP There are two Tibetan villages in the vicnity of Pokhara. One of them called Tamshilling is in the southern side and another villages by the name of Tashi Palkhel is in the north of Pokhara. The Tibetan people living in these villages keep themselves busy with producing and trading in woolen carpets and other handicraft items. SARANGKOT It is situated in the Annapurna ranges and one can enjoy panoramic views of Himalays. A view tower has been built on the top of Sarangkot hill at an elevation of 1,600 meters.
