History of Rajasthan
Rajasthan is one among the 28 states of the India. Throughout the British rule Rajasthan was known as RAJPUTANA. That was denoting the soil of Rajputs. Rajput families came out and detained their influence all over the Rajasthan since 700 AD. Earlier it was a part of various states; some of them were Mauryan, Yaudhya, Kushan, Gupta, Huna, Malava and Arjunya.

About 1200 AD some fraction of Rajasthan dominated by Muslim rulers. Suburbs of Nagaur and Ajmer were the main core of their control. They also took Ranthambore under their control. However, in the starting of the 13th century AD, Mewar became the most famous and commanding state of Rajasthan.

Since ancient time Rajasthan has an affluent and multicolored history, that off course building it one of the most admired tourist destinations in India. Artistic with ordinary splendor and an ancient history, tourism is booming in Rajasthan.
